Well, I figured you guys might want to hear something new from me once in a while, so I guess I'll put up new rants when I have nothing better to do (translation: whenever the hell I feel like it). I really have nothing to rant about right now, though. I mean, Ok, I had to clean my room today, but who really cares about that? I'm just writing this because I can't bring myself to work on either of the sibling sites (sven or anita). Pretty strange siblings.
I think freeservers doesn't like me. I've entered this site the past three months, but they always give the "site of the month" award to some other bozo. I know this isn't gonna help my chances for next month, but hey, you're here to listen to me rant, and this is what's buggin me right now. If you're not here to listen to me rant, hit the friends page, I think that's the only one where I don't rant. Anyway... I know I'm not the best web site cod-y person there is, and, yes, I had to take code from my friends to do some stuff, but there is more to a site than the coding. You see the backgrounds? The picture links? The pretty pictures ('cept for the stary page)? I made every single one. And there's some interesting material, here, too. I mean, who wants to hear about someone's boating hobby? Hobby sites suck! Personal sites should be just that, about THE PERSON, not some dumb thing they do. If you're going to buy into the notion that the web connects people, then it makes a lot more sense for people to use sites to leave their personal mark, rather than another lame hobby or game page. The only reason I don't think Anita's Poke Site sucks is because it's not a gaming site, and it's not a fan site. I just happen to have this character doing about the same thing I'm doing here, only she's got little poke-dudes hanging around and a huge crush on Brock (a character from the show). I probably ought to break into a few paragraphs or you'll all get bored and stop reading
That better? I really don't understand religious sites. As if there isn't enough religious propaganda in the world already, really. I have a pile of the stuff from the local aggy fair. Do people really think they can change someone's deeply held religious beliefs by making up a stupid little pamphlet? You'd have to be really insecure to fall for some of this stuff. Yes, I did intend to use the word fall. I'm not attacking anyone's religious beliefs, mind you, I just wish they could be a little more quiet about them. I just wish people would let you decide for yourself what makes sense. I guess they don't because they never really got that chance. Anyone who believes in a religion without any reservation probably was introduced to it by their parents, or someone who didnt say "this is what some people believe is the truth," but "this is the truth." I frankly think that the human race as a whole is too stupid to understand the truth, or at least too frail to accept the truth. The truth may very well be that there is no meaning, but it would be difficult, even impossible for some people to survive from day to day without the assurance that there is some purpose to it all. I don't know, myself. I'm 17, for crying out loud! I can only answer so many great mysteries at once! I have to sort out what I want to do in the next four or five years, thereby determining the rest of my life, deal with school and parents and Gabe being his stubborn self and you want me to pile figuring out religion on top of that? No thanks, I'll wait untill I can see the top of my "to do" pile again. Time for another paragraph, huh?
Sorry about that. It's only eleven and I'm already ranting like a lunatic. Oh, well, what are you gonna do about it? You could always go back and read something more sane. Yeah, why don't you go do that.
