Yazooth had the misfortune of being born half drow into House Morningstar. His Drow father left when he was a child, and to this day no one knows if he went willingly or was dragged back into the Underdark. As such, Yazooth's got an overwhelming urge to go himself, either to find his Dad in one piece, or to bring back a bloody corpse. If he's a Dryder, that makes things more complicated. And things are plenty complicated enough as it is, thank you.
Being half drow in a house full of assholes who think they're better than everyone else for reasons including, but not limited to, the fact their skin resembles a metalic substance qualifies as a "bad thing."
Yazooth is also a bit of a magic whore, and is going to get the whole party in trouble with it one of these days, just you wait and see
